And if I'm not mistaken ( recently learned a bunch with my last knife purchase) made by Ichiro Hattori .
 
not certain as it was gifted from and old friend AFAustin AFAustin - but it is a beauty...
It sure looks like a high quality knife, and I know they did source knives from Hattori at one time.
I was surprised to learn that they do still offer some high quality knives ( a few any ways ) which are made in Japan as I suspect this one probably is.
