Please pardon my ignorance, but what is PP?First, I need to say mine came pretty dark, comparatively, so the PP change isn't as dramatic as it could be. Also, I didn't sand it at all to open up the pores. Still, it took on some additional color, which I like!

Potassium Permanganate I believe. I've heard it was what Case used way back in the day to get their green bone color in the Tested/Early-XX eras. Please pardon my ignorance, but what is PP?
You nailed it here.golfball jigging
Once upon a time I imagined it would be uniform boring golfball jigging...Now I see detail..not that 131 is vastly unique from the others...but those cut marks are full old school...and along with the colouring reminds me of GECs Primitive Bone from years ago.

I know the Audiophiles will scoff, and it certainly can't hold a candle to your sweet rig, but I've been having a lot of fun with a recent Sony turntable. I grew up with cassette tapes as the primary medium for music and, in comparison, vinyl always seemed slightly daunting. I've long been intrigued by vinyl (and always kinda hated "tape hiss") so I plugged the Sony PS-LX310BT (it has Bluetooth, but I'm not using it) directly into a pair of Klipsch "The Fives" bookshelf speakers (with an SBS sub attached) and the sound difference between low-quality digital streams (standard YouTube, Spotify, etc - NOT the high-quality audiophile streaming services, not as much difference there) and vinyl is simply amazing - even on my basic setup! The Sony makes it real easy. Stick the record on the spindle, push the play button, enjoy - it moves the arm, drops the needle, and does all the other stuff on its own.For sureNothing like some good ole analog Vinyl. Digital music has its convenience but the pure sound, openness and depth of vinyl is beautiful . Then add a Tube preamp and you have magic then add a 2024 BF knife and it’s topped with happiness

It really warms the sound and you can roll tubes as they say “basically try different tubes “ because different tubes will give you a different sound. Mine is a Pro-Ject S2 just an entry level tube phono preamp and I’m very happy with it . I’m waiting for some new tubes to arrive to try out but the stock ones sound really good . They get better the more you play them they kind of break in and sound better when they are warmed up a little .I didn't know you could get tube preamps. Maybe I should get one for my turntable.
Ok, every knife has been shipped with the exception of one order to France which is requiring weird customs stuff and VAT IDs. I'll have to do that manually at the post office I guess!
