Blades upon Books - Traditionals

I know Moby Dick has been featured here quite recently, but I was inspired by a Stefan Schmalhaus video to finally pick it up (having somehow avoided ever reading it previously).

“I sat down on an old wooden settle, carved all over like a bench on the Battery. At one end a ruminating tar was still further adorning it with his jack-knife, stooping over and diligently working away at the space between his legs. He was trying his hand at a ship under full sail, but he didn’t make much headway, I thought.”

This dictionary was printed about the same era the knife was made.

Michael Connolly is one of my favorites.:thumbsup:

He is a great writer.

Surprisingly, I never heard of him until I was gifted some of the Harry Bosch books. I'm on my 3rd book, and looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
