Thanks holo07 . I'm still surprised I won it from a GAW glennbad held. He does some amazing work! This one is a definite keeper!
It's a Schrade model 196 in case you were wondering. It was originally a shadow pattern knife. He put a lot of extra work into it. For instance here's a fun tidbit...

There might be no end to the variety of knives that come from these two great companies!! Here is a scout-type utility knife with a fiber-embedded(?) handle, maybe called fibestos(?), from Schrade Walden!! Can anyone designate the handle material for sure??
It seems quite durable on this somewhat worn knife!! Well Made!!

Called Red Fiber!! One answer so far!!
Made by the Vulcanized Fiber company (Burnt down and bankrupt years ago)! I believe they used wood fiber as a base!!
