Brindle, our Mountain Cur. I didn’t think I’d ever want another dog until the wife and I got together and I love this old boy!

He ‘s 12 years old now; we’ve been together 7. She trained him; he’s certified as a service dog. ‘Marches like a little soldier with his vest on. I can walk through Menard’s and Lowe’s, pushing a full cart and he walks right along my side; ‘don’t even need a leash.

The wife says I ruined her dog and created a monster. Any time I’m getting ready to go out the door, he gets his collar and says he’s ready to go for a truck ride. If I sit down in the recliner he stands there and stares at me until I get a sheet to cover up with so he can lie in my lap.

Everywhere we go, people are amazed at how good he is. I tell people that dogs are just like kids; you just have to bring them up right!

The goggles are actual dog sunglasses, so he doesn’t get sunburned eyelids from the UV reflecting off of the water. Sometimes we do 10-15 miles in a day on flat water. All the boats slow down to check out the dog sunglasses.

…… He wanted his sunglasses on today for a sunny day 3 mile walk in Oglebay Park.

Mutts, Curs, and rescue dogs seem to know when they are rescued and find a forever home, and they are beyond grateful and beyond loyal. It forms a bond that can’t be broken, and it’s worth it in every way ❤️

It warms my heart every time I hear or read a story about it 🙏🏻❤️
