Do you sharpen your Emerson on a Sharpmaker?

I've been using the Sharpmaker lately. The Sharpie trick helped my figure out the right tilt, or rather caused me to realize that tilting was necessary. I like the polished look the fine stones produce, and stropping cleans it up even more so.

I recently bought a Lansky turn box for $17.00 just to sharpen Emersons. It is the same as the Sharpmaker but has the 25° angle on it which is what all Emerson knives are sharpened at. I finish off with the Brommeland strop and my CQC7 is razor sharp.

I had never seen that strop - my favorite IWB 1911 holster is a Brommeland.

I'm sharpening my Emersons on the bottoms of coffee mugs these days, but I'm sharpening almost everything else that way too.
