This is a Mercator I literally tried to kill at work some years ago. I was cutting a lot of hard plastic and I daily pounded on the spine with a plastic or babbitt hammer, scraped metal, literally attempted to see what it would take to bring it down. I bent the backspring after a couple years of this, took it apart, bent it back and pinned it back together. It's a little loose now but still a yard work knife. (PS: I had two)
