Blazing tires like Ghost rider headed for tequila :) :)

I've always been a Chevy guy but I'd walk past a thousand Camaro's to get into a new Challenger. They got that car right. I would love to see them do the same thing to the Charger.

Very nice. I use to have an original 1970 RT 440. The new ones are so true to the original design but better overall cars with todays tech.
My best buddy in highschool had a 71 with just a 340 and a four barrel and it was no slouch. He also had (still has) a 70 'Cuda AAR with the 340 and a six pack. That car was a kick in the pants. One summer day we ended up in a "playful" little car chase thru our town with another guy that we went to school with who had a '70 Z28 with the 360 horse 350. It was better than any car chase I've seen on TV and luckily, both cars made it thru without a scratch. Lol!

Love them Mopars...
I've got a little project myself...
Aww hell, picture trouble...
It's a green 69 Super Bee...

That's a great color on the Challenger!
I love that cartoon Mopar stuff...
I went for a ride in my friends Hellcat Challenger...
I've been i some fast cars, but not Hellcat fast!
Not only fast, smooth, steady, just the right rumble!!

Good on Garth for havin some fun...
And covering a lot of territory!!

Well, hello Busse folks & all...
I haven't posted much, so hello to all y'all that I know...
And hello to you I don't yet know...
Sixx out...

Nice ride Garth !!!! Congrats !!!!

I think it might be time for a Busse Combat shifter handle ?????? Maybe from a SHe2 or tglb a fusion would work too :)

Oh man...
I just might swap my pistol grip shifter for a Busse coffin handle shifter!!
Or at least in my truck!

Must be the week for it..... I just bought a new (to me) V8 turbo diesel Landcruiser....

That's great Andy!
Turbo diesel has so much going for it, especially in a lower speed, on/off road vehicle...
I have a Dodge Diesel 3/4 ton, and for the power it makes, loads it's hauler,
I love it!!
Enjoy your new vehicle!!

I've been thinking about doing this on my restoration project. Considering a tight fitting kydex sheath bolted directly to the shift lever or maybe even sacrificing one of my Ratweilers and permanently attaching it down inside the shifter console.

Hey CD!
Maybe a piece or two of kydex formed around the diameter of the shifter, then screwed to the back of the sheath, sort of like clamps used to secure conduit etc...?

Even tho Pistol Grip Shifters didn't come out until 1970...
Being a paranoid (I mean hyper-vigilant) Redneck gunnut, how could I not have a pistol grip shifter, even if the car is a 1969!!

I made a cane from a hurst shifter back when I needed a cane...

This story is irrelevant, but talking about the cane reminds me of it.
So, give an old crippled Redneck a minute of your time...

So, I had the aluminum hurst T handle on a hurst shifter for a cane.
It was kinda heavy, sort of like a small maul, hammer looking...

Me and an older pal we're working his car, Rat Killer 65 Coronet, nice machine...
Anyway, my cane fell over and the handle hit him on top of his foot...
during which time he knocked a can of black spray paint off the bench...

He bent down & picked up the can, which had been punctured when it hit the floor...
When he looked at the can, the paint spraying from the puncture hole, sprayed him in the face!
Lol, haha... OMG, when he looked at me, I lost it...
Poor guy, face painted black, glasses painted black, and when he took his glasses off he looked like a Racoon, lol!!
Oh man, I know, I guess it's one of those you had to be there things I guess...

That guy loved cars, and loved parts hunting...
And, he passed away at a pick-your-part type auto wrecker...
Which is ok, he was doing what he liked to do...
(R.I.P. Con)

Ok, sorry to waste y'all time...
I just have to grab these memories when I can...
Good luck with your project CD!

Have a good one all y'all!!
Sixx

We did a similar thing, me in my 1970 SS454 Chevelle, against my roommates 1970 440 Six Pack Super Bee... both 4-speed cars.
It was more like a number of drag races, not really a chase...
Oh well, At least we had the chance back when CD!!

Preaching to the choir—I’ve driven 4x4 Toyota Tundras and Sequoias for the past decade and a half.:D:thumbsup:

Yeah, i want one but it has to be a v8 or turbo diesel.

But, I'm pretty sure I can't afford a new vehicle...
I looked at diesel pickups & just about had a heart attack!
My 03 Ram 2500 will have to do for another 15 years I think...
However, it may look like a dune buggy by then, the way it's rusting:mad:!

It's crazy how the OEM's are dropping sedans and it's all SUV's and big horsepower. Mark my words, this is all going to come back and bite them in the ass. Wifey has been doing some shopping and it's kind of dramatic which way the makers are trending and I don't think it's a good thing. Once we get one of these left wing socialists back in office *and it will happen at some point* we're going right back to $4 or more for a gallon gas and SHTF with a industry who's ill prepared.
That's the thing when you start to reach a certain age you begin to see how cycles repeat themselves but the youngin's don't know any better, they think the worlds they live in will always be the world they live in. The older I get the more I understand why my elders rode my ass so much, they knew a lot of stuff I wouldn't understand for decades.
