To create the closed loop paracord wrist lanyard, I doubled up an 'Arms Akimbo' knot (from 'The Directory of Knots' by John Shaw), a knot that is usually tied along the length of a single strand of cord, taking care to keep the cords aligned and from overlapping/twisting as it was tightened up.
For the small knot in red, I used 1.4mm cord to tie the 10 part 8 bight 2 pass type 2 pineapple knot. I gave it coats of brush on krazy glue, inside and out, so that it can serve as a sliding lanyard bead, for adjustment of the paracord wrist lanyard. That knot is shown in Tom Hall's book, 'Introduction to Turk's-Head Knots'.
