Happy 4th. It’s a beautiful day to be free.

Happy Fourth my brothas and sistas!

I just wanted to show my pride and joy out of my tools. I found this awesome 1/4" vintage Craftsman ratchet set in my Grandpa's stuff after he passed. It's super cool how you can see the gears and how it works. US made out of (well patina'd) carbon steel. It even has a little zerk fitting on it for lubrication. I use it to this day and it works better than any other ratchet I have.

This is awesome!

I've been an aircraft mechanic most of my life and have cut, bent, modified and grinded on, tools to do some very difficult things to the stuff I used to work on. Tools can be a very personal thing to have, use and pass along to family members. I hope you enjoy them for many years.

A wicked switchback at high speed humbled me today. Pretty sure the tree will live.

I like to see somebody exploring those boundaries of tire adhesion .
Reminds me of a coworker who moved from Kansas to the Pikes Peak region of Colorado .
He seemed to have a new one every week there for a while.

I loved his car by the way :
Picture the largest old station wagon you have ever seen.
Now put two big, fake (I assume they were fake) silver missiles on top with fluorescent orange nose cones .
Oh . . .
and six inch long rubber spikes all over the front bumper . (I assume they were rubber) .
If you are reading this : Howdy Wade ! ;)
