I'll definitely enjoy all the tools I got from my grandpa for the rest of my life. And.. I got lucky and received a knife from each of my grandpas that I hold very dearly. My family doesn't seem to be terribly interested in the possessions of my grandparents, however if there was a housefire that I had to get out of quickly, their old possessions would definitely be a top priority of the first things I grabbed. This is awesome!
I've been an aircraft mechanic most of my life and have cut, bent, modified and grinded on, tools to do some very difficult things to the stuff I used to work on. Tools can be a very personal thing to have, use and pass along to family members. I hope you enjoy them for many years.
Yeah man, you don't see much about it online but I agree, it's a very sweet design. I liked it so much that I bought a second, a used one for a good price, and I don't have an exact duplicate of really any other knife.
