EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

This is as close as I can come . I never met my Mom's Dad and only met My Dad's Dad once that I recall.
I belive these were his . Certainly not my Dad's style ; though he was a country boy that could drive a team of horses , lay block and build a good barn his idea of a pocket knife was a wee tiny little thing . e.g. I bought him a smaller SAK back in the late '70s , like a Tinker or Recruit , and he took it back for some dinky little thing .

anyway these must have been my Dad's Dad's :
Must be at least seventy or eighty years old .

Ooo nice man! I love super old knives and the fact that their heirlooms makes them a million times better. Those are some very nice pieces you have.
These are the 2 main knives that I got from my Grandpas. One from each. The Gerber multitool is also an old one and is from one of them as well.

Those are awesome! My grandpa had a habit of buying cheap multitools at the feed store and sharpening them on his bench grinder until the blade was gone then rinse and repeat. I tucked the last one in his coffin with him. I do have a couple of his guns though 😀

My daughter stands to inherit some real gems though! Knives and guns 😂

I didn't really have a plan in mind for today, so I put on a nice shirt, shorts, and sandals, pocketing my large 31 PJ Dama to head uptown to pick up a few things at the store. After lunch I decided to spend some time on my truck which has been neglected since we returned from Vermont. I'd taken off one of the side boxes to accommodate the wood splitter pick-up and subsequent delivery to our camp, so I re-installed that, vac'd out that and the still empty cross-box, and set about giving everything a good exterior cleaning.

Those Weatherguard boxes are 30 years old, having been bought for and installed on my 90's Dodge when it was new. They're still in solid shape, but their clear-coat is long gone and they can really pick up some dirt and tree mung over time, so I gave 'em a good pressure washer blasting with a 15° tip.

The 2006 F350 got a good bath too, as it hasn't gotten more than a rinse or two since the winter. Looks pretty good for almost 20 years old....

Anyway, the crisp shirt got changed out for a tee, the sandals for sturdier shoes, and the PJ Dama, which I like to keep nice, got put back in its slip, replaced by a favorite work user.

The spring flows out from under the former artillery battery.

On the way back we came across an abandoned fishing farm.
