EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I'll definitely enjoy all the tools I got from my grandpa for the rest of my life. And.. I got lucky and received a knife from each of my grandpas that I hold very dearly. My family doesn't seem to be terribly interested in the possessions of my grandparents, however if there was a housefire that I had to get out of quickly, their old possessions would definitely be a top priority of the first things I grabbed.

Yeah man, you don't see much about it online but I agree, it's a very sweet design. I liked it so much that I bought a second, a used one for a good price, and I don't have an exact duplicate of really any other knife. 🍻
I have a few older tools - including an open ratchet. I have a friend who is a retired engineer, makes, fixes, can fix, a lot of things, can use anything from a Dremel to lathes etc. He's ten years my senior and has never seen an open ratchet before. 😲

I didn't really have a plan in mind for today, so I put on a nice shirt, shorts, and sandals, pocketing my large 31 PJ Dama to head uptown to pick up a few things at the store. After lunch I decided to spend some time on my truck which has been neglected since we returned from Vermont. I'd taken off one of the side boxes to accommodate the wood splitter pick-up and subsequent delivery to our camp, so I re-installed that, vac'd out that and the still empty cross-box, and set about giving everything a good exterior cleaning.

Those Weatherguard boxes are 30 years old, having been bought for and installed on my 90's Dodge when it was new. They're still in solid shape, but their clear-coat is long gone and they can really pick up some dirt and tree mung over time, so I gave 'em a good pressure washer blasting with a 15° tip.

The 2006 F350 got a good bath too, as it hasn't gotten more than a rinse or two since the winter. Looks pretty good for almost 20 years old....

Anyway, the crisp shirt got changed out for a tee, the sandals for sturdier shoes, and the PJ Dama, which I like to keep nice, got put back in its slip, replaced by a favorite work user.

Love my Weatherguard box! Mines about 20 y.o. and works flawlessly except the locks. They’ve failed twice. Replaced both times w/out any question from company. I live in NE Ohio so you can almost expect them to fail. Love that 18!
