Walked along the shore today.

The knife goes into the wood well, but it's not pleasant for the palm. It's not hard to cut a couple of branches, but it's probably not so hard to plane/carve something on wood. Or wear gloves.

I got out for my walk a little early again--unlike yesterday, uninterrupted this time--and certainly beat at least some of the heat as it was 81° when I started and is now 90° as I write, some hours later. I know that doesn't seem like wicked hot to many of you from southern or mid-western climes, but it's a lot for us New Englanders that live on a sand spit sticking out into the sea. It actually gets hotter on summer days up north in our Vermont hills, well back from the ocean and a couple thousand feet higher.

I stuck with the same knife again, IWB in b-ball shorts, just coz it works so well for that and coz I've still got a bunch of pics left over from yesterday.

Then I will add more photos. In the kitchen the knife feels great.
Large carrots, but no crackling.

Calm controlled cut.

Potatoes very good. Meat excellent.
