EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Defiant 7 also makes other models that are far less expensive.

Interesting to note that compared to the top WE knives, the Hyrax seems like a bargain. WE has something like 60+ knives over the $600 mark on their website. Chinese CNC Exceptionalism, I'm guessing...

You should've seen what that sharp image sharp image guy did to me, when I first got here!!!

Stepping on my PB&J, rubbing his gas station knife all over it, then wiping it on my sleeve!

That guys is outta control I tell ya!
🤩
That's only because you kicked me out of the box car and took my sleeping bag

So today went a little sideways as I went out walking a bit earlier to beat the heat and was not a fifth of the way into my two miles when I got a text from our plumber that one of his guys would be over shortly to resolve the issues with our new bathroom faucet and drain. I stopped to empty the cabinet below and waited for him to show up. Unfortunately, we seem to have a lemon and the resolution of our problem will have to wait. I gotta say, though, Kohler CS was great on the phone and we should have what we need to make it right in fairly short order.

I shifted to getting the recycling together instead and headed off to the dump through what's now Cape Cod summer traffic. On the way home a large clunk let me know the tailgate had dropped open and I pulled over to discover the right-hand pivot pin mounted in the opening had sheared off. The left hand side had done the same a couple years back and I'd had a short length of pipe welded to the bracket as a fix. The welder who's since bought that business said I'd be better off getting the part from the local Ford dealer but their guy couldn't find it after searching his listings, so I found it online and spent some time trying got the old one off before ordering. I got the first hefty Torx head bolt out with my air wrench and am letting the PB Blaster work overnight before taking another stab at the frozen second one.

Anyway, I had the ZT0450 IWB in light shorts for my aborted walk today and may just go with that again as I try to get back to it tomorrow.

Out early for a drive today. Started out at 6000 feet and low 70's temperature then drove down to 3000 feet and high 90's then back up to 6000 and 85 degrees out. Overall did 140+ miles and got to see some new twisties in the car. Oh and wished I had the AC that got deleted in the quest for more performance, at least for when temps got up into the 90's. Had these two knives with me on the drive along with the watch. The belt sheath was horizontal and was comfortable, I initially had concerns but knew could always take it off. Do like carrying the Subie that way. Even removed the pocket clip so it slides in and out of sheath easily.
