EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I've been trying to carry some of my knives that never get any pocket time. This Bulgarian Manly Peak is an excellent knife & it's probably the only knife with S90V that you could get for under $100. Nice grippy G10, solid lock, deep carry clip, FFG & a full sized blade. Like most lock backs, it doesn't open fast but who cares? This is going in my rotation.

Giving myself a 4-day weekend for my 49th, which is actually on Monday. Started off with a Friday about as good as you can get. An 8-10 mile hike out at Rainier, up to a ridge and then down into a lake, carrying the Taggedout (amongst other things).

Then hit our local Mexican joint for Fajita Friday (washed down with a tall glass of Modelo Negra), carrying the Sebenza and Vic Companion. (date wrong on the watch because I now have 49 y/o eyes and DGAF ;))

Afterwards, Picked some Blueberries from the garden for dessert, had those accompanied by a nice glass of honey-sweetened gunpowder tea and some locally distilled cask strength rye, carrying a mini-Freek and Vic Vagabond.

I'm trying to love this knife but it's hard. There are three ways of opening it. It feels good in the hand. Good sharp spearpoint. There's just something about it that I don't like. I guess it is kind of ugly lol. It's a good knife though
I just got a Benchmade 430 Redoubt. My initial reactions were almost identical to these. I’ve only carried it for a day. I’ll give it more bonding time.

We're having a relaxing Sunday here on my wife's birthday. I got my two miles in this morning and she planted the coreopsis plant I gave her yesterday. Otherwise we watched the Sox run their winning streak to ten games this afternoon and ate leftover birthday cake from last night and too much ice cream. I'll start the grill shortly to finish off our excess with a steak dinner. Probably should take another walk later to work some of all that off....

Knife-wise, I continued on with with another SHF for a Spartan Sunday with the Northwest Coast Edition.

Thanks. There ARE a lot of wackadoddles working in the field of clinical mental health counseling, I have to admit. I work mostly with high risk children who have been determined to be a danger to themselves and/or others and yeah sometimes you gotta take a break from it or it will beat you down. The folks here are nothing in that regard, lol.

Glad to see you stuck around, not chased off by any minor contretemps. You might understand someone new expressing that he felt the prices charged for certain knives amounted to gaslighting could cause longstanding members who gladly pay for and own such blades to take offense. It's all good, though, and I'll join a couple others welcoming another correspondent to these pages.

If you like the Lionsteel titanium Skinny, you’ll probably like the Slym more but for the Slym not using magnacut. Not that m390 isn’t a good steel but magnacut is better (in my opinion for whatever that’s worth). Being a Spyderco fan, I appreciate the hole as an additional option to the removable flipper tab but even more so I appreciate the extended length clip on the Slym. It makes inserting and removal of the knife from a pocket greatly improved over the Skinny. Although I still like the Skinny, it’s just hard on pocket material.

Sorry to mods if I went on too long off topic in this space.

You're not off-topic at all, though you'll note the customary standard here is it didn't happen without pics. Given your membership status, you'd need to use a photo hosting/sharing site to get pics up here. At Imgur, for example, after uploading there, look for the BBCode which you can copy and paste directly into your post, or click the picture icon in the tool bar here and use the direct link at the photo host's site to get a pic up. OR--better yet, get a paid membership and you can post pics here directly. There's a bit of a learning curve to it, but lots of us dummies have mastered the process.

We'd love to see what knives you have and what you're carrying on any given day.
