EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I use a combo of mustard and apple cider vinegar, applied with a toothpick. Let it sit for 20-30 min, rinse, and repeat. It's really where the sperate applications overlay that you seem to get the cool blues and purples in my experience. Honestly my favorite method is just applying it in little dots, but I try different designs with each knife just to switch it up. I pretty much do it in one way or another to every knife I own that will take a patina well.

(EDIT: the main blade here is just a fruit patina)
Thanks for the info!

What should they be charging for doing almost everything in house right here in the USA?

Z Zootripper , I don't know that many of those American mid-tech makers, say in $400-600 range and up, typical of how this discussion began and that are popular with members here, even go so far as to attribute the higher cost of their knives to anything but the time, materials, and the level of hand work--fitting, assembly, tuning, etc--it takes to produce their knives. There's "proudly made in the USA", which is fine by me, but as far as any knife makers I support using that to SOLELY hype their fine products, I haven't seen it. I also don't think that CRK, RHK, Les George, Spartan or other mid-tech makers, as well as production knife makers like Spyderco or BMK are in league with any oligarchs or corrupt politicians to break anything off in our collective keisters.

However, it's me straying off topic here, as this discussion would be better had in a different thread, so here's another pic of my Spartan NW Coast that I carried today. Hope to see your knives here too going forward.

ChazzyP, see above quote from NorcalAF for the comment I was responding to regarding the USA production… just for clarification and context of course.

Say good night, Gracie.

I saw that right after it posted, Z Zootripper , before we all got off on this tangent. I'm not trying to be argumentative, just sayin'... while remaining cordial. FYI, if you tag someone's username with @, like I just did with yours, they'll get a notification (if enabled) that someone's responded to them, just like quoting their post.

Good night, George.
