Everyone knows or has met someone famous, who did you meet or know?

I met Alice Cooper the day before I met my wife haha. And I tried to get his daughters phone number lol.

I've driven several musicians back & forth from the Woodbridge Hilton to the Garden State Arts Center(now the PNC Arts Center). It's all kind of blurry, but Rob Zombie stood out(even though he's really short:D).He was a nice down to earth guy, tipped me well I remember.
I took Black Sabbath minus Ozzy to a convenience store for snacks & smokes(you'd think they'd have someone to do that for them?)I was basically in shock & couldn't really speak.

That's about it..

I've always said that celebrities weren't worth my time but I have met a couple.

Had a Heineken with Buddy Guy at his bar in Chicago in 1996. He is a very kind and humble man.

Sat next to Jeff Green (who at the time was the reigning NASCAR Bush Series champion) and his wife at a Cracker Barrel outside of Bristol,Tennessee.

Had breakfast with Mark Martin when he drove the #6 Viagra car in the Winston Cup series. My wife works for a urologist and the Pfizer rep. introduced us.

Went to high school with Jimmy Jackson of NBA fame and Myron Bell of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Myron and I wrestled together for 3 years.

My wife's great aunt was a personal friend of Jacqueline Kennedy and attended the funeral of John F Kennedy.

I've met quite a few rock musicians years ago. Used to party with some of them after concerts. Spent a lot of time on stage (usually behind the amps) when the bands were playing so the noise level wasn't so ear drum busting.

Ran into Sissy Spacek at a grocery store. She was in line behind me.
Ran into Bum Phillips (coach) at the rental car location. He just passed away.
Used to see a lot of the cowboys around noon when they would be looking for food at Tom Thumb in Dallas. Roger Staubach used to jog past my uncles house a good bit. I never bother these people. In fact I seldom said hello other than to nod a hello and a smile.
Ran into a few "stars" on flights here and there.

Bette middler, tony Bennett , bill and Hillary Clinton , prime minister of Canada, I know there's more but it's too late to remember ...ryan

Ate lunch with President G.W. Bush.

Over the years, I've met several MOH recipients.

Saw QE2. Very small woman.
Walked past Hugh Jackman when he was filming Wolverine here.

who did ya meet or do ya know?

I met Jacques-Yves Cousteau at the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. Somewhere in my books is an autographed picture he gave me.

My wife's brother plays with the Dave Grisman quintet, so I've met Dave a number of times.

At UC Berkeley, our SCUBA club hosted a dinner for Jacques-Yves Cousteau as he passed through for some reason a long time ago. I was introduced to him and shook his hand - the whole encounter was over in five seconds. Jacques seemed bored and decidedly unimpressed; he had come off a long flight and needed to sleep instead of being introduced to yet another biology student.

I don't think I've posted in this, but may have told this story before. My Mom had a small diner. One day this long haired fellow in old clothes comes in, pours himself a cup of to go coffee and hands Mom a $20. Very pleasant, chats for a minute. He says thanks and walks out. Mom runs after him saying "oh sir, you've forgotten your change." He tells her to keep it but she says "oh no, you might need it." He thanks her and takes the money and wanders off. A few minutes later a guy comes in with a 8X10 autograph of Billy Ray Cyrus saying "thanks for the coffee". He was in Vermont for a video or movie. (this was when he was a country singer, not Miley's father). Mom still didn't know who he was but everybody else was impressed.

She was also good friends with the guy that played Goober on the Andy Griffith show.

In the mid seventies, I worked at Walt Disney World for three years as a monorail host.

One day while driving one of the trains that stopped at the hotels, I had the pleasure of having Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha from "Bewitched") and Robert Foxworth in the cab with me from the Polynesian Resort to the Magic Kingdom monorail station. They were a lovely couple, very gracious and friendly, and she was absolutely stunning in person.

I once got bumped in line by Montel Williams at the five guys in the DC airport.

I had a strange and short conversation with Fabio in an empty hallway at an unused basketball stadium after the filming of a scene from the movie Eddie with Whoopie Goldberg. I was 12 years old. I think it went something like this....

I was looking for the bathroom walking through a long empty hallway.
A door opened to the right of me and a very tall muscular woman walked out.....wait...
Me: "Are you the guy on the cover of all those old lady books?"
Him: "I am Fabio"
Me: "Will you sign my hat?"
Him: "Um....Sure"

I still have a Phoenix Suns hat with Fabio's autograph on the bill. Weird

My twins were in a movie with Andy Garcia and Julianna Margolis (The man from Elysian Fields). I was at the wrap party and spoke with Andy Garcia. He said my sons were great to work with. He was very nice. I lit Julianna's cigarette and we smoked next to each other. She was not as approachable, but she was stunning. Andy played the bongo drums with his Cuban band. I worked at Kristen Davis's (brunette from Sex in the City) house in the hills above LA. She has one of our irrigation controllers, and was having pipe noise under her house, so we changed the schedule to not wake her up from the water hammer vibrations. She was very polite and nice, also very stunning in person. I met Ray Liotta on the Santa Monica pier, and I was a doofus and walked up to him, and went all dumb ass about Good Fellas. LOL> Wifey still teases me about that. His kids were on the same ride as ours, so I had a long time to feel like a dumbass afterwards. He was polite as well. I have been to Charlize Theron's backyard for she also has one of our controllers, but I have never met her. Her backyard landscape is amazing.

Nope not me. I have never met or been around anyone who is famous.

Me neither, I thought I met Bigfoot once, but it turns out it was just a mirror.

I was fishing for barramundi in the Northern Territory once. Suddenly a 5 metre crocodile ran past, heading downriver, with some kind of madman in hot pursuit, muscles bulging and eyes glowing. I'm pretty sure it was Payette Rucker.

:D:thumbup:

I met tommy Morrison the boxer in the rocky movie in Oklahoma years ago him and a girl were having a flat fixed, on his car I think on his bmw, if im not mistakin,at a gas station/repair shop in Oklahoma,i drove a oil tanker and was picking up used waste oil. got his autograph. I cant believe he passed away. rip.

Met Kenny Stabler a few times when I worked for Ely Porsche/Audi in Hayward back in the 80's. Great guy, charming with the ladies in
the office. Also met John Matuszak @ the same time; most frightening human being I've ever seen.

Watched Mario Andretti get a speeding ticket in his Lamborghini in Nazareth PA just down the road from the speedway.

The look on his face when he said to the cop, "...do you know who I am?" and the cop said, "I don't care who you are, 65 in a 25 is gonna get you a ticket, do wanna try for two?"

Andretti was so mad, I thought he was gonna stroke out as he kept yelling at the cop how, ...he made this town and he's have the cop patrolling the rock quarry at the edge of town.

It was nice to see someone so arrogant put in his place by the local police.
