No, it comes ready, right out of the container. After soaking, I rinse with water, then coated with WD-40.Does that have a second item you then soak in ; a passivator ?
Wow, super fast on the trigger if you snagged 3! I only wanted the Canoe, but didn't stand a chanceHad a run of decent luck being quick on the trigger at SMKW over the past few weeks!

Same. That one is on the way as well. Kind of hard to believe there are some Cases getting to be like GECs in how fast they vanish.Wow, super fast on the trigger if you snagged 3! I only wanted the Canoe, but didn't stand a chanceHowever, I did manage to land a recent Sea Dragon medium stockman.

Thanks for posting this review and making public the issues with this maker. I also am awaiting a knife from the February 2024 preorder that had an estimated delivery of November 2024. Since then I have emailed him once a month and get a new excuse and new estimated delivery which has gone from January to April, but here we are mid-April with still no knife or updates. He hasn’t responded to my latest email for days. I am not cool with this maker and regardless of the quality of his product his reputation is shot for me.Carbon Fiber Flipper Friday... checking out an absolutely mind-blowing featherweight folder, the VC Edge "Interface" by Jayson Van Camp

When I was restoring British Cars I used some stuff that ate the rust but then one had to apply / soak in the passivator to be sure the reaction stopped. No, it comes ready, right out of the container. After soaking, I rinse with water, then coated with WD-40.
For stubborn rust, I've soaked parts for 24 hours. That and depending on the part, I've used a well worn green scratcher pad, or a Mr. Clean magic eraser, to help get the rust off.
Just be careful around any logos, if they're not etched in well or stamped, they could disappear.![]()
If you haven't tried them they make White pads. They are , for all practical purposes , nonabrasive . I buy them to even wash dishes with .well worn green scratcher pad,
So Cool !
