Crossbones !
Over many years I have been drawn to that one ; never pulled the trigger.
I like the blade shape & thickness A LOT and the handle looks like something right up my alley as well.
What do you think , is the CRKT worth a try ?
Is it close enough to this one to get a feel for the real article ?
There are even two sizes are there not ? If so is yours the larger or smaller?
This one is the midtech Bones produced in Ken Onion's shop. Fit and finish is nice, but it is definitely a lighter use knife. 3.6" blade of CPM154. I like it for an office knife, and the action is fun to fiddle with. I had the large CRKT crossbones, and it was just ok, par for the course from CRKT 🙄

I am not cool with this maker and regardless of the quality of his product his reputation is shot for me.
Years ago , just before I ordered mine , there was some problem getting parts for the maker that makes the Exceed Design TiRant RAZOR V3 titanium utility knife .
Finally he could get enough of the parts he needed that met his standards and he started filling orders again.
The TiRant Razor is a super pleasing knife and I was lucky to get one .
Maybe he/they are at the mercy of some other vendor .
Competent workers are getting rarer and rarer these days .
I have no clue .
Just saying .

When I was restoring British Cars I used some stuff that ate the rust but then one had to apply / soak in the passivator to be sure the reaction stopped.
I get along very well with Brit Cars; never understood all the fuss about the electrics ; just needs the contacts dressed a bit from time to time . . .
but then I like doing that .

If you haven't tried them they make White pads. They are , for all practical purposes , nonabrasive . I buy them to even wash dishes with .
Maybe you wanted a touch of abrasive action though . . .
I like the Mr. Clean magic erasers, they work well on knives. Very light abrasive if you scrub hard, none if you're just lightly wiping.

The maker stated as much in a Facebook post and in email replies—issues with the carbon fiber, than wrongly polished thrust bearings, then a machine breaking down, then being ill for a month—but those issues we’re supposedly all resolved or overcome, the new parts were in hand, assembly was underway, and I was to receive my knife “in a few weeks” as it were, and that was about a month ago. This has been going on for five months. Now he’s ghosting me. I was about to consider it a scam and proceed accordingly until I saw that WValtakis WValtakis actually received his, but I still might. The pattern of a having a new excuse for a delay for months on end screams fraud.

I have had multiple orders with exceed DESIGNS over the years, and own three Tirant razor, and a couple of Exceed Design Avair, as well as the universal refil Ti Pen. All their stuff is very good fit and finish.

On my Avair order they did have to do some customer service for me and I was very satisfied with them resending my missing order.

That was before any of the things you mentioned occurred, but they’re definitely not a scam company.

I wasn’t referring to Exceed Designs. My comment is about ongoing issues/delays with VC Edge Knives / Jayson Van Camp.

The patinaed brass shouts old-fashioned values of quality and workmanship .
And . . .
don't discount it for office carry !
Just what the New Generation of Tough Executive needs .
Those plumbing contractors will think twice about excessive billing for change orders .
and
just enough blade length to cut the cake at office birthday celebrations .
I LIKE IT 👍

Yes , Yes
but you know how we humans are :
We want a liquid thing in a bottle , preferably a spray,
even better if the label has the word "Miracle" on it (just ask Click and Clack ; remember those guys ? ! )
Squirt and forget .
😂

Wow !
Lets take inventory :
Hooded menacing eagle like eye (thumb hole slot) saying : any last words before I eat you?screwitI'mjustgoingtoeatyou !
Raised hackles on the other end to give weight to the eye.
A cheerful , graceful, tasteful , sweeping line leading one out of danger and certain death (pocket clip ) to a party with a DJ's turntable ( large pivot embellishment) .
A delta shaped pendant with louvers reminding one that all is not fun and games and one must , eventually , return to duty and teamwork .
A blood gutter / fuller (never quite understood those to be honest but what do I know ; I'm happy with a paring knife) .
A radiator to let out heat from all the vigorous blade use / friction .
and
at last
air intake ports (no doubt for the brakes when we finally land and take stock of what has , most certainly , been another extraordinary day) !

PS : it IS COOL and even has that nice Harpoon blade tip !

Maker needs to take up a different sport at this point !
(((wonder what he does for a living🤔)))
