That is an oddball model. I don't think I have ever seen one like that. A Command one blade on a Guardian one handle with a lanyard hole. Was it from Brigade Quartermasters? Does it have the name on the side of the handle like most Guardians did? Do you have a box with the name and/or model number?

Brigade Quartermasters SFO from the early 1980s I think. Not a whole lot of them out there. I'd bet Gerber can fill in the blanks if you ask them.

I don't think Gerber can do that. I have been collecting Mark II's for over 40 years and there was a guy at Gerber who was a production manager, and he had a hand written sheet on the mark II. He told me that they did not even have numbers on the mark I much less Guardians and Command series. Does your knife have a serial number? Even if it does the blades probably came off the production line for the Command I, so it might not mean much by itself. I would be willing to bet that there are only a few hundred of that knife out there; if that many.

The Lucky Dog BullDog makes a great office carry. It has a 2" sheepsfoot blade which makes it great for opening packages, breaking down boxes, and scoring cuts with its fine tip. These are made by David Mary Custom here on the forums and I have more available in my shop.

I really, really dig this design…from the first day I saw it!

Great job, gentlemen.
