Yesterday I received a knife that I absolutely love, including the awesome leather work. The Bowie is very balanced and light in the hand. ABS Master Bladesmith Kevin Harvey from South Africa forged this beautiful blade. For those who don't know who he is, I encourage you to look at his website. Kevin and his wife Heather, who is also a Master Smith, teach people the art of making forged knives at their bladesmithing school, named Heavin Forge. They ship worldwide, are very friendly people, and offer excellent customer service. Heather does not make knives anymore due to injury. Kevin makes stunning blades but does not take orders. He makes a blade and just puts it up for sale on his site. I saw this one, and it tickled my fancy. Hereby pictures of my cherished Bowie and the link to their website: https://heavinforge.co.za/
Thank you! Knives like this only have one problem. They are so beautifully made that I can't bring myself to use them, which would give them scuffs and marks. I would rather use a blade that is mass-produced. In one sense, it is a shame that it will never be used for what it was made for, but on the other hand, it will still look pristine many decades from now.Handsome package right there....
Enjoy!!! Will it get dirty???
