Mesquite is more interesting, the closer you get to it. It's naturally a very stable wood, and very hard. In my climate it doesn't move all that much. This one isn't stabilized, just oiled with Watco Danish Oil. Barely.


l see your lovely mesquite and raise you one of my favorites, wenge (and African wood pronounced “wen-gay” for those wondering).
