Photos For the love of Lockbacks! (Traditionals only)

This is one of my first custom folders, bought around 1991 at a NY show. Bill Ankrom and I are still good friends. He's going through some treatments right now, keep him in your thoughts. Sandra Brady scrimshaw and Fred Harrington engraving, I lived near Princeton, went with Ivy and a tiger.

A work of art, Win! Thanks for posting it!

I ve taken an interest in old Kershaws, Seki City made knives to this point. Came across this Oregon made one recently on another site, picked it up for a song. Apparently many of these 3315s were made, but few were signed. Fits quite nicely in hand, and the grip is very good.IMG_20190206_203753535~2-1442x884.jpg IMG_20190206_203653503~2-1442x878.jpg IMG_20190206_203628018~2-1442x798.jpg

An impressive guy, a bit heavy for me in fact, but a lovely pattern nevertheless, I love the nice green bone. But where the heck did I put her! Impossible to remind where!!! Must be I'm ageing too fast!:oops:
Have you checked all the socks drawers, your other half's purse, (warning! checking the purse may result in serious injury and/or death.) in the cat tree, where the dog sleeps, where you keep all the kitchen cutlery, and in your rifle/shotgun and archery travel cases?

Lockbacks have always been my favorite knives, let's keep this thread going. Growing up, you either had a lockback or a jack knife, we weren't all that knowledgeable. They were our work knives, camping knives, fishing knives, carry knives, they were our everything knives. Even then, the Buck 110 was a legend. Lockbacks at that time were the modern folders and the 110 inspired knives from just about every maker.

The Schrades though were my favorites.

I just got a heck of a bargain on this. Not exactly traditional thanks to the thumb stud but wanted to show you folks hoping someone may know something about the maker. Hand engraved WHITE. The knife has amazing action and was done very well.

Schrades are also my favorite, and the scm7 you have there is the finest of the lb7 breed.
