Photos For the love of Lockbacks! (Traditionals only)

CASE Mini Copperlock

Whereas this one's Stag has a huge hump in the middle, makes the knife look like a Boa that's swallowed a big animal...when looking down on the spring:D But it actually enhances the grip, the thing I don't like about CASE Copperlocks is that they're too thin and skimpy, otherwise a good pattern. This one's a Phat Boy though;)

Wow great knives one and all! Such variety from sleek customs to no frills working knives. When I decided to go back to traditionals the first knife I bought was a lockback. The Bear&Sons sodbuster type. That was the only one, until a few weeks ago in another thread I mentioned that I didn't have a good sturdy 5" lockback. And that I would soon remedy that, I'd made up my mind to buy a 110. Was most likely going to get one at Wally world. 2 days after I made up my mind to get a 110 I stepped into a pawn shop on my lunch break. Picked up a new still with factory edge 2012 110, for the princely sum of $15. Couple weeks later I was browsing Offerup, and someone posted an ad for a Old Timer lockback. Pic looked good, could see the tang stamp, USA made one, good price. Contacted the seller, made arrangements to go buy it. Was a lady who was selling it, said it was her boyfriends and that he passed away. She felt it was to big for a woman to carry. She only mentioned her boyfriend after I told her how glad I was to find a Old Timer cave bear in such good shape. She said she was happy it was going to someone who would appreciate it and enjoy it. Then 2 weekends ago I had to get a radiator for my truck. There was a pawn shop beside the auto parts place, so naturally I went in lol. Picked up a Uncle Henry 127, and a Uncle Henry LB7. So you see within a short period of time after thinking " I need to get a Buck 110, ain't never had one" I've had more than a 110 just seem to appear. I'm wanting to contact a person on C-list that's gotta 80's Schrade LB7 skrimshaw series with a rearing horse, with box and papers. Maybe this weekend;) those Lockback bugs must be tiny, I didn't even see it bite me:p

I do like lockbacks and have a few:
Buck 110 (1975 "two dot")
Case Tribal Lock (T.B. really has a winner here. I carry it all day most days.)
Buck 503 Lancer (recent acquisition)
Schrade SP-1 (1970s as far as I can recall, shown with my small Schrade USA collection.)
