I think this counts as a traditional lockback? ... circa 1978-1982 Old Timer 7OT with a 1095 carbon steel blade.

A special one in my collection, from Japan unique design of top maker Mr. Toru Yamamoto, his own design called Purple Valley. Gigged bone and aged VG10 steel. Bottom one with a top USA make slip joint

I'd posted this knife a while back. It was a preassembled kit knife that a buddy had me handle and then we had the engraving done for him on it.
His wife carried it at our recent branding and put it to good use come dinner time:
