I couldn't agree more, although I haven't found an LB5 yet, the LB7 and 7OT I've got have such a solid feel to them. I noticed that on the 7OT the locking lug slot in the tang is about twice as long as the 110 I have. And while not quite as big as the 7OT, the LB7' is a bit bigger than the 110 as well. Talk about over built![]()

Great 'ol Smith&Wesson there! My Dad has S&W. Drop point fixed blade from that era, beautifully finished. S&W knives I've seen from the 80's were very well built. Glad you found an old friend, still got the wheel gun?
Wishing you the best of luck, David. A man's got a right to protect himself and his loved ones.I understand, due to my current legal status I can't have any( I'm looking into my options about getting those rights back, so its all good) and I've had many good ones come and go. That's one of the reasons I've started collecting pocket knives in earnest. I've always been the knife knut in my circles anyways lol.
Moore 5214 trailboss. Quite a fat infant!I wish I'd remember where did I put her away.
I wonder who made her and her smaller siblings.

From what I read, most older ones were made by Camillus or Queen. Newer ones w/o a full set of pins are said to be Bear. I am pretty sure the double lock back trapper was made by Camillus, IIRC Camillus had a patent.
Thank you for the info. Now I just have to look where is my lonely Camillus!

I am sorry, Moore Maker's double lockback is different than yours. It's got side by side spey and clip blades together with one pivot. The opening levers are at the same end, with one at the very butt (like a 110) and the second begins a little bit past the lever at the butt.
I think you're right. Gotta get one. Or more. Have a Buck 450, but I love those wooden scales and brass bolsters on the 110.Like you gents I just love a lock-back knife; got plenty of them but IMO the king of the hill for lock-backs is the Buck 110 Folding Hunter - a few of mine. OH

Planning to get a Buck 301 next week, and a 110 hopefully before the end of the year.Prester John
The bolsters and liners are one solid piece per side, very solid feel. Hefty but in a good way imo. The older USA Schrade's are as well, but I've read the new Taylor ones aren't and are thinner overall.
