Hello ,

I have to thank Les Vieilles Lames association for it helps . They use old parts to rebuilt knives like they were in the past. So it was the right place to find some historical french knives. It's a pitty to see that so few knife-makers use these shapes today .
Here you will find their names :

Only two are "modern" by their fabrication , the Aurillac by Pierre Yves Joyeux ( http://atelierlaclefdeschamps.fr/ ) and Le Puy Cervier by Les Vieilles Lames . This last one is a big navette . We have already talk about it : https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/french-regional-knives.1651680/page-15#post-19437323

@Charlie : I just added the cornflower, a brother in arms of your poppy. :)
It's a pity most of theses patterns are falling into oblivion, especially Gouttière (gutter) and Dungeon.

Parapluie and Sabot.

Grandma used to say that when both extremities are protected you can go safely! :D

nice Charlie! what is that top blonde one?
This is a Puy Cevier (from the mountain's name), a navette made by the Vieilles Lames. Puy is the name given to the mountains in Central France, Cervier the old name for wolf (loup).
