When I saw that there was rust on the buck knives I go the rust off and gave them away
Are you absolutely sure they were legitimate Buck ? There are many copies and fakes that look very close to the real ones and who knows what steel they used. I ask this because Bucks 420hc, 425m, 440c and many other stainless steels they use are among the most rust and corrosion resistant steels in use. Now if it were carbon steel or semi stainless I could see possibly some rust but not their stainless. Unless like I said they were in salt water or maybe acids.

None of my Gerbers have Rusted and that is why I use them when I work on the farm
We know, tell us you're not a troll without telling us you're a troll. If this is all you have to offer the forum, your undying love for gerber, then it's the ignore list for you.

Oh, and Gerber sucks bro.

As stated by many already, not a damn thing wrong with the older Gerbers:

But no problems with my Bucks, either.

Those are nice Gerbers and the buck is alright. Your knives so if you like them that’s great. My experience with buck knives is that they rust quicker than Gerber knives. My Gerbers just outperform my bucks by a big margin.

When you come on this forum you’re not discussing with the general population that has limited knowledge of knives.

Your avatar name is a BIG target and you are likely to get hammered because we know better. If you don’t like Buck and prefer gerber that’s your prerogative but you won’t get much sympathy here. A name change would probably help you receive a better response and topic discussion .

That Paul knife by Gerber is AWESOME. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers mate,

it is a delightful thing and I couldn't quite believe my luck when I found one for sale at a very reasonable price. The Poehlmann Axial Lock is a super cool and fascinating innovation but it's not hard to see why it wasn't ideally suited for mass production. Gerber in the 1970s was posssibly the only company gutsy enough to attempt it.
