Who is the maker of this knife, please? I love that knife's lines!

-Steve
Steve,
The maker is Randy Williams. He made only this model of stiletto, 11", with the same blade shape, but different handle/bolster configurations. He used CNC machining, but the design is all his. He is a mechanical engineer by trade (I think I've got that right) and made these knives at a time when he was laid-off, if I'm not mistaken. I haven't seen anything recent from him in a few years now. Probably back at work as an engineer, is my guess. Below are four other ones of his that I own.

Thank you! I was hopeful that a new maker had taken up Randy's style and was making similar knives.

I had a couple of chances to buy knives directly from Randy back in the early 2000s and stupidly didn't do it, thinking that I would get one later. He stopped making them shortly afterward. I didn't know that his knifemaking career was so short-lived due to his being laid off and re-hired. That makes sense. When he retires from engineering, he needs to going back to making full-time!

His style is exquisite and you have some beautiful examples of his work. Thank you for sharing them!

Steve,
No problem, my pleasure. And I agree with what you said about him getting back into it, when he retires. I'm not sure how long he was making the stilettos, but as you said, it seems as if it was a short lived career. Stay safe, Joe.
