I do pretend real good once in awhile...
I raise a glass to my fellow guardians!
" Hear Hear" I will have one with you. What an excellent idea, after all the sun IS over the yard arm.
@Wild Ben Hope this passes muster my friend. Great minds think alike.
“A Walk in Nature” # 37
It needs a Lambsfoot!
Morning Guardians, having to rush a bit this morning, so just calling in on my way out of the door. Hopefully I can catch up later
Good morning Guardians.
They aren't that uncommon, but I think they have usually been produced to save on costs, like some of those currently sold by Taylor's Eye Witness
You have quickly acquired a very respectable flock Ed
Hope you have time for more of the good stuff soon Dylan, that looks like a nice way to spend an evening
That looks like an interesting drop Ben
Big Rosie and I were busy before sunrise this morning! We had accumulated 6 or 7 large boxes of various sizes that were cluttering our otherwise perfectly organized basement. Rosie and I broke them down posthaste and put them in the trash for the weekly pickup! Did I say it’s Wednesday? I hope y’all have a great day!
Good Morning Guardians
Good Wednesday! Guardians
Good day Guardians.
Hey Ron, we have the same 'Bin Day'! Nice to hear Rosie has been helping out my friend
I'm back from my trip to Knaresborough and Harrogate . I was going to head out that way, and a little further north, on Saturday, to have a walk at Fountains Abbey near Ripon, but I've now discovered that there are a load of road closures due to yet another large cycling event taking place in Yorkshire over the next week. Good luck to the cyclists, but do they really need to close the whole darn county down? At least I found out about it in advance as I've been stranded before.
I only had time for a slice of toast before leaving, so stopped off in Harrogate for pancakes and coffee. They were passable. I have to say to my US friends that if you ever visit, you'd be well advised to avoid eating any dish you cherish or are even familiar with, because I doubt it'll be quite the same
Knaresborough is always an attractive place to visit, but at one time it had half a dozen antique shops. Now it has only one, and it's very overpriced I did come across an old friend of mine, an antiques dealer specialising in coins and currency, who had a stall in the market-place. I picked up a bag of sixpences, but he wouldn't take any money from me for them
The market was very busy, with people getting their weekly dose of news from the town crier. He seems more popular than the old one, whom a few of our posters may remember
There's a fairly good beer shop in Knareborough, so I brought home a few supplies
Hope everyone else is having a reasonable day
Looks like a good haul Jack Me and the Missus are off to Airdrie 40 miles North-East, for an autumn drive, also pick up my Red ale and stop in at the Super Store for a few groceries.
Thanks Dave, you're a bit spoilt for choice in that ale shop, but I'm limited by what I can carry! Hope you and Linda have a great day
Thanks, Jack, Welcome to Leeds
LOL! Thanks Dave
Just genning up a bit for tomorrow
Oh yeah I almost forgot
Well, it's another day.
Nice pic Ed, and I think far more representative of Wright's stag than some of the photos I've seen on various websites
We haven't seen @donn around for a while I'm hoping a pie pic might draw him back
