Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

We were disappointed, but in retrospect, I am glad to have tasted something, which was once traditional. Within a few years that whole area of Sheffield was gone, and I have not seen a pie of that type since
That is my thought process to a tee on a lot of things now. I was blessed and fortunate enough to be around to be part of a by-gone era. There are so many things i really miss.

Thanks for the pictures Jack ! 👍
A pleasure my friend :) I'm afraid that'll have to be it for tonight, as I'm off to the market in the morning :)
Beautiful country Jack. I hope the locals are treating you well.👍🏻
Thank you Bob, not TOO bad! :D ;)

The same here pal, anyone younger than me would have missed the golden age of the English pub, which is one of the many things I both cherish and mourn :(

Had this one with me, from 2018, today :)

Lovely pics Jack and sweet '18 ! I hope you have favorable weather for market day 👍

Great picture buddy !

hat to cover that shiny, bald noggin! 😖 Not only did we have to find him one, but it had to cost less than £2
Is he too young to remember Benny Hill? Let him wear a handkerchief knotted in the corners.

Or put tomorrow's knickers on his head.

There are worse things than mixing up pies mate! :D Though, I do remember when I was no more than 7, me and my mate, were walking home from town just before Christmas, and we decided to spend our last pennies on a couple of mince pies from an old-fashioned baker's shop. We were expecting sweet, spiced fruit, but the filling was spiced minced meat! We were disappointed, but in retrospect, I am glad to have tasted something, which was once traditional. Thanks Dan, I don't think it compares to something as spectacular as Yosemite, for example, or the Grand Canyon, but on this small island, the countryside is never very far away :)

That's great news Bill, I continue to be pleased that you think so highly about your Hartshead Barlow :)

Wow Jer, that's incredible  Great story :)

Cool pic :D

Some nice wood there David :)

I love those covers David, I'm glad they haven't darkened too much :)

You sound smitten Tyson :)
You better try 1 of these pies Jack. They were talking about it on the local radio last week,
Doesn't really appeal to me but it's a winner.

Different doesn't mean better.

But that does make me hungry for a pie, maybe I'll have one for lunch.

Thanks buddy, nice pair of pliers with your May 😎👍

Thanks a lot Steve, we had the sunniest March on record, and so far, April has been nice too 🤞👍
Looking good my friend 😊

LOL! 😁 He's far too disorganised to own a handkerchief Jer 🙄😖👍

That's Scotland Mitch! 😁 They'll be deep-frying them within the week! 😁
Another great tour, Jack. But did you pick up the two hitch-hikers in the brown woolen coats? ;) 😁
LOL! Thanks Jeff, they weren't keen on the wolf we had in the back of the car! 😁👍
Very nice my friend 😊👍
Already ageing nicely Jack 🙂👍
Regular work night for me. Enjoying a nice pipe and a podcast on this slow Wednesday. Jigged IXL will keep me company.

Spectacular Lamb, and a very handsome slip Paul 😎👍
I gotta quit watching this thread - too many GREAT knives - I may have to get one and I know my spouse won't understand the need of another knife!!!!
Ah, but it won't just be another knife! 😁😉👍
Flashtastic Mitch 🙂👍

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone's week is going well. It is 8.45am here, and Tool Man and Boring Ray will already be set up at the market. The weather is good, but I'm going to take my time getting down there today. I have a few things for both of them. Hopefully, the decent weather will bring a few of the fairweather traders out. Hope you all have a good day Guardians
