Great to see you here Jeremy, and that fine-looking LambThings have been extremely busy for the past few weeks (or month) so it’s been a while since I’ve been able to stop in, hope everyone is doing well. Got this fantastic Cosimo lamb with me today.

Popping in to say hi and to share another pic of this fantastic lambfoot knife! It’s great to have a stainless option when the weather turns hot and my pockets turn sweatyView attachment 2897513
While browsing through the Remington catalog, I noticed a copying blade. It was Remington's version of a Lambfoot or the blade that the workers of weaving production used? sorry, I forgot the name of the pattern

ah, that's it, I found an old useful topic
While looking through my copy of Remington Knives Past and Present I saw something that has me curious. On the page illustrating the different blade types it shows a short wharncliffe with a saber grind and labeled it as a coping blade. It describes what we all call a coping blade as a cut off pen. Did Remington use different terminology than everyone else or did the name of the blade change over the years?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Wow Barry, that's a gorgeous I*XL, what a beauty there!Wostenholm survivor
Barret, that is one gorgeous Knife my friend! Let alone all the others in the below shot! It’s gotten to be the same here. Even when I took all those coins in, which was almost 15 years ago, I had to call several branches of the local/regional bank we used at the time to find one that had a coin counting machine in back, but at least they did it at no charge for account holders. Now I think you pretty much have to roll them yourself before you can take them anywhere. (We also have the supermarket machines, but the fees are practically highway robbery.)

I’d imagine so. I’m sure we’ll eventually move away from the $1 bill here, but I doubt it’ll be any time soon.
Happy birthday, Steve!

Long Days Paul matey!Sorry for my lack of participation, Guardians. I should be put in jail for my transgressions against my pals. We are at less than 50% manpower and with the federal hiring freeze we are not able to backfill our positions. Not complaining because I love my job but I am working about 70-72 hours a week. Paychecks are good but family time has suffered.
Each one of these lines represent a unit in the field. Red means they are shooting actual bullets. Anywhere from 9mm to dropping 500lb bombs. It’s been hectic.
Been carrying a lamb everyday like always and today I got the Charlie lamb. Please excuse my spotty participation. If I’ve missed life altering moments for you all I truly apologize.

Fair enough. Do what you need too. I did when the kids were younger.I’ve decided to take a break from here for a while. I need to focus on my health and spending more quality time with my kids. Too often I find myself scrolling through knife content instead of focussing on the people that matter most in my life. Recently while scrolling this thread one of my boys asked why I was always on my phone, wasn’t a good feeling.
I wanted to say a big thank you to all those that I’ve got to know the last few years. The guardians thread in particular has been a great place to meet and chat with fellow knife enthusiasts, folks I call my friends.
As a kid I grew up loving the lambfoot knife and it’s solidified as my favourite pattern since I started collecting. I’ve been introduced to some great makers and beautiful pieces.
I doubt I’ll be gone forever and will try to pop in time to time but I am making a conscious effort to cut back on being distracted from my family and from spending too much money on knives.
My GL-24 is and will always be a special knife to me and a great momento of all the fine people involved here.

Family first! I find myself in the same struggle on occasion. Have been trying to relegate a majority of my knife scrolling to after the kids bedtime.
