Good to see you Hoff, thanks for showing that beauty off againPopping in to say hi and to share another pic of this fantastic lambfoot knife! Itβs great to have a stainless option when the weather turns hot and my pockets turn sweatyView attachment 2897513
That's a fantastic shot SteveGood morning Guardians !
I got up early and was finally able to stain a deck for a client. I've been waiting two weeks to get it done as the weather has just not cooperated.
Glad to have it done !

That's a very atypical Coping blade, and it has no relation to the Lambsfoot patternWhile browsing through the Remington catalog, I noticed a copying blade. It was Remington's version of a Lambfoot or the blade that the workers of weaving production used? sorry, I forgot the name of the pattern

ah, that's it, I found an old useful topic
While looking through my copy of Remington Knives Past and Present I saw something that has me curious. On the page illustrating the different blade types it shows a short wharncliffe with a saber grind and labeled it as a coping blade. It describes what we all call a coping blade as a cut off pen. Did Remington use different terminology than everyone else or did the name of the blade change over the years?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Another great pic Steve
You'll be missed Jack, but if you are having to choose between your health and your family, and the forum, you are definitely making the right choice mate. I hope you have an easy winter, and that everything will be well with you and your familyIβve decided to take a break from here for a while. I need to focus on my health and spending more quality time with my kids. Too often I find myself scrolling through knife content instead of focussing on the people that matter most in my life. Recently while scrolling this thread one of my boys asked why I was always on my phone, wasnβt a good feeling.
I wanted to say a big thank you to all those that Iβve got to know the last few years. The guardians thread in particular has been a great place to meet and chat with fellow knife enthusiasts, folks I call my friends.
As a kid I grew up loving the lambfoot knife and itβs solidified as my favourite pattern since I started collecting. Iβve been introduced to some great makers and beautiful pieces.
I doubt Iβll be gone forever and will try to pop in time to time but I am making a conscious effort to cut back on being distracted from my family and from spending too much money on knives.
My GL-24 is and will always be a special knife to me and a great momento of all the fine people involved here.

Good morning Guardians, is it only Wednesday?!I had just opened a bottle of wine last night, and was about to call in here to say Hi, when I received a request to write a rather complicated press release. I got it done, but it cut my imbibing short, and it was nearly midnight by the time I had finished. I'm hoping to take it easy today, as I didn't sleep well, and I'm going over to Bradford late afternoon for something to eat, and a movie. I hope you're all doing well, and that you have a good day

Love them scales.Good Wednesday to you. Weβve had some nice weather here. Itβs summer break at school so lots of students enjoying the beaches. My garden is doing ok. It would be much better if I spent less time lollygagging but it is what it is.
Jack weβll miss you. When you return please post some cane toad pictures. I recently watched a documentary about them. I gotta get a cane toad knife slip. It would go well with this Max Sao:

Sorry you didn't get to finish your round Bill, hope you get better weather soonGood morning Guardians. Had a nice round of golf going yesterday but my foursome ran into a bit of weather when we got to the 17th hole. Had to abandon the round and went home. Glad I didn't have my HHB with me - would have gotten soaked. Had a SAK instead.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is good, and that your week is going smoothly. My week has turned semi-busy!I was just having coffee at Charlie's yesterday, when I got a request to edit a press release someone else had written, and had to do it on my phone, next to a very loud Albanian!
My trip to Bradford wentbetter, and it was a nice warm evening to be out and about. I have some more work to do this morning, but I'm hoping to get down to see Tool Man at some point, and also meet up with Wolfie. Carrying my 2018 Guardians Lamb in ebony
Have a good day Guardians
