Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Wonderful knife!! Great GA and Artistry!!
Congratulations Gary :)
From the super generous to the super gracious, a fitting transfer. Good on ya, Tyson, for making it possible.
Congrats Gary !
That is a beauty, Gary! Congratulations
Charlie, Jack, Jeff, Steve, & Dan, thanks for the kind words and congratulations. :)

The knife is an impressive, splendid Italian immigrant, but now that he's staying at my house, he's going to have to pull his weight regarding daily chores. 🤓 So I had him helping out with food prep for supper tonight; seems to be a quick learner.
My custom has been to always name my lambsfoot knives (and almost no other knives), so I still have to decide on a name for this Italian white bone beauty. Leaning heavily toward one of Shadow Lamb, Shadow Jack, or White Jack (since I already have a corresponding Black Jack lambsfoot).

Gender-neutral pronoun choice?

Yeah, I guess 🤷‍♂️
I never thought of stringing them. When I was growing up we had a horse chestnut tree in our yard and we had a plentiful supply. We preferred to throw them at each other while they were still in the spiked husk.
LOL! :D Conkers is tradition that has more or less died here :( I wish the Victorians had planted sweet chestnuts on my street, instead of horse chestnuts. then I could eat them! :D

You are very diligent with your pile side pics Steve  I always forget, which is a shame

Interesting. It seems to me it might take forever to hit each others' conkers at all, never mind enough times to break one.
I wonder if D.H. Lawrence was aware of the Basil Fawlty meaning of cobblers.

May it be a good one for toolman.

My wife just bought the bacon flavored Spam. I'll just pop another cholesterol pill!😄
Thanks Bob, enjoy your Spam! :D 👍

A bit after his time I think Jer
Thanks buddy

I hope you have good weather for market day !
Nice pic of Big Rose 👍
Thanks a lot Steve, Big Rose got some use on the market :)

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I had over 4 hours lollygaggin' on the market with Tool Man and co. Scooby, Big J, Harry Hotballs, Boring Ray, Nobber Al, Slimline Scott, and Gravel all passed by, and joined in the crack. An old biker mate of Tool Man's, Big Tone, also happened by. Since Gravel was there, Tool Man feasted on steak slices, followed by mushroom bhajis and some sort of kebab, which he ate while similarly railing against 'foreign food'! 😵‍💫 I was glad I checked the weather forecast before going out, because the weather became showerery later, and then rained heavily, so I was glad to be wearing a coat. Tool Man had another dismal day unfortunately, and I doubt he will even break even by the time he goes home :( His biggest sale, and the only one I witnessed in 4 hours, was when I gave him a tenner for a small Bahco spanner, which I could have easily got for nothing, (particularly as I'd just given him a pile of cheap penknives)

The other traders are doing no better, and when the winter comes I am sure a few of them will be calling it a day :( I had a walk with Tool Man, through the market to visit Our Cake Man, who was having a busy, and profitable day. Tool Man is in the wrong business, but if he sold cake, he'd be even fatter, and even poorer! ;)

Lovely burl 👍

Morning Guardians! 5K Qs 5K Qs I liked Charlie's suggestion of "Bianca", but that might just be because it sounds as pretty as that knife looks.

My friend today is from Canada. Have a good one everybody!

If Tool Man changed to the cake business would there be any left TO sell?

Cool story, Pat! :thumbsup::cool::cool:
Do you ever discuss it with your brother and/or parents? Whenever I get together with siblings and we happen to reminisce about some childhood event, I'm amazed at how different our memories of the event are! o_O:rolleyes:
Thank you! It's funny you ask that GT. I asked my brother if he remembered that day and his recollection was a little different from mine. He remembers eating at a restaurant while we waited for our dad, and the fact that there were no hotels available because of the festival. I just remember waiting on a bench, wondering how my dad was going to make it back.

Good report Jack. :) It just occurred to me, and I apologize if I missed it, but with all those creative names for regulars at the market I can't help but wonder what name they have for you.

Here's my generic manhole cover pic for GT 5K Qs 5K Qs .
