Hawk and Knife Combos...

I went whit the black leather over Kydex. Most of my gear is black so that’s way I went for black. I mount it on my ops. vest when on the move, I always keep my vest in the car near me in case the shit hits the fan. When are doing planed operation, I keep it on my belt on my left side whit the blade facing forward, for a reverse grip.

It the best fixed blade I have ever had. You won’t regret getting one.

I think that is an old Old Hickory knife as well. Maybe they were made a little better back then ?

Not trying to hijack this thread but I was digging around and found another one like the one I have on. It was being sold on ebay. The only difference I can see is that on the handle of mine it looks like there was something engraved. Two lines between the first and second and second and last rivets for a total of four words. I need to take some better pictures of it and see if someone over in the ID forum can tell me who made it. Heres the picture from ebay.

I did some Googling on your knife Joe....and in some incredible coincidence, this is the ''hit'' I clicked on. http://www.jungletraining.com/forums/showthread.php?p=56957 I believe you may know the author.

LOL did you research the idea that it may be a Case like the one reply suggested? LOL now you have me interested to know what it is.

I only come to Bladeforums for this forum and the becker forum anymore. And I mostly lurk and soak up info. Like a sponge.

I like my puukkos. Best fixed blade I have, that's the handmade one you may have seen me talking about elsewhere.

Dude, Edwood7, you got crazy amounts of nice gear! I know its your "tools of the trade" but still pretty impressive to go through and see all your stuff. I guess its not different than me and my racing gear, many different options to do the same thing for different conditions.

Lots of great combos here! I will post up my hatchet and knife when I get the hatchet done. I just got what I assum to be a cheap no name used from the flea market for $3. Gonna be a fun project!
