Help me understand GEC knives

Quality control is the same between the three marks, in my experience.

With Northfield, you get features that are more "premium"

Cut swedges, long pulls (some times) higher polish on the blade. Some of the handle materials are nicer, some times.

One issue I've had, is that I find Ebony wood to be a premium material, and I wish it was offered more in the Northfield line up with long pulls and cut swedges.

Often it is offered in the Tideoute line. My only ebony GEC is a Tideoute.
