That catch dog is a rough-looking son of a gun.

He's getting old now, probably done a hundred or more pigs. A new dog 'Lex' is starting to take over as the main bailer. He's still got a few more pigs left in him though.

I have always found the drive and willingness to please amazing. He will have that desire long after his body has retired. I have seen old timers dogs that are just plain to old get out and they try their darnest to keep up with the pups.

For sure. All these dogs are hard in their own way. My vizsla won’t go catch a bore but will go and go in serious heat. He will Be exhausted and if I send him again, He goes. Hunting In mexicali we are always watching for heat exhaustion and our upland dog will go till they drop. When we rotate them they are never happy to be in kennels during any action.
I do like the honor scar stories, these dogs earn them.

Retta my last beagle gundog would actually pout if you shot a gun when she was in the box . She wanted to check out to see if she could find what you shot at
