Fidget knife, any size Microtech Scarab

EDC knife, any size Hogue Ritter

Gentleman knife CRK Large Inkosi

Box slicer (folder or fixed, no utility knives) GB2
A year later, I have decided I don’t like the native salt and a CF Bugout is my gentleman knife. Otherwise, my pics have held up.

Small Folder - Delica4 K390 Wharncliffe w/ Ti scales
Large Folder - Framelock Military S90V
Fidget Knife - Ti Manix 2
EDC Knife - Framelock PPT S90V
Gentleman Knife - GB Air
Box Slicer - Delica4 K390 Wharncliffe w/ Ti scales

That's much easier than my favorite 10 knives .....

A: 1) + 3) + 4) + 6) Small Folder, <= 3 inches
+ Fidget knife, any size
+ EDC knife, any size
+ Box slicer (folder or fixed, no utility knives)

Demko AD20.5. The new 3V KC exclusive is $180 and _perfect_ for this.

B: 2) Large Folder, 3.5 inches or more

For > $300 I'd have to have a Fulltrack. With the money limitation, I take a Spyderco Tuff.

i-6KtgtNb-X3.jpg

C: 5) Gentleman knife

That's tough, too many nice knives. Maybe a Manix 2 with wooden scales ?

i-vW5RrBC-X2.jpg

Now .... since I combined 4 categories in (A), I get $900 which I'm spending on two more knives:

D: 4" fixed blade:

CPK Dek1

E: 6" fixed blade:

CPK UF or UF2

i-P9jwWpX-X3.jpg

Interesting that my selections all are in 3V ... go figure :)

Also note that I'm always puzzled by these polls that omit fixed blades. That they are missing can only mean two things:

- either you are too worried about what other people think about you
- or somebody else (mom or SO?) cooks for you all the time

:) Cheers,

Roland.

I see there's a bunch of "if you could have only one knife..." post, but how about if you could have only 6 knives? Two rules: 1) the knives have to be in production or have periodic runs. b) $300 or less for each.

Small folder - Dec '20 BOTM. Not a production item, but I have one. (It was this, or my DLT exclusive...I chose the CPM154 over S35VN; but I'd be just as happy either way)
Large folder - Reate K2. Over $300 new; but it's pretty much owned my rfp for the last couple years.
Fidget knife - no. *I'll pick another knife of my choice; something useful. (Probably Busse BB13 or Kabar Becker BK20. Maybe Busse Urban Grudge LE, because I'm keeping it anyway)
EDC knife - since you've neglected fixed blades as a category, I'll put mine here. Not a production item, and don't know if the maker's current price would be under $300
Gentleman's knife - GEC 62 half whittler in birdseye maple. I think it is one of one...maybe they'll make another someday; but I hope not
Box slicer - utility knife

I know I didn't follow your "rules"; but I chose from what I have...
(You're not the boss of me:p)
I want to change my answer, because it's been over a year.
Small folder - Berg Iron Pup (non flipper version)
Large folder - I'd probably keep the same Reate K2. I'm still not quite sure how the little Iron Pup edged the K2 out of my pocket... (Unless it's because the K2 is a flipper; but somehow I'm still keeping it as my larger folder)
Fidget knife - nope. No more interested in this than I was last March. I think I'll put my Dec 20 BOTM in this spot.
EDC knife - keeping the same fixed blade.
Gentleman's knife - my GEC 62 in birdseye maple.
Box slicer - utility knife
I'm still keeping my Urban Grudge, though.

I guess my answers haven't changed all that much after all.
