Gev, both pictures are outstanding!!! I love the shadows on the first and the little statue on the second and of course the show stopper---The KNIFE. The bone covers are terrific:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks Paul. My brother just gave me the little pewter pieces this morning and I could not resist...lol

The low morning sun really brings out that bone.

Thanks, if I keep working at it, one of these days I hope to develop the eye and the skills you regularly display here.

There you go Gev, showin' my knife again! ;)

I do love the shadows pic, nice imagination there!

I really appreciate the compliment, Doug! Your words inspire me.

Lol..Jeff!! Thank you sir! The force is strong with this one.

Your killin me Gev, absolutely stunning pics. I wish I was creative with the lens, the figurines where genius.

Doug, the RR pic is a real beaut

Here is my first Birch bark handle and my first sheath of this style. My reference is all in Swedish so I'm not 100% on the origins of this style of capped sheath or whether it has a specific name, maybe someone will know. These were worn as a belt knife but I thought I'd make the thong longer for a neck knife.
The sheath is oil tanned leather covering a wooden sheath, the cap slides through slots in the side of the cap and the top of the actual sheath. The blade is a Lauri 95mmx20mm.

Best regards

Robin

Jeff, I missed your comment last week. Thank you , my friend

Paul, I missed yours too. I would have thought you already had an Ingersoll Yankee. This one has started to intermittently run.

What a great pic, Paul. You have a wonderful collection of old things!

Robin, I commented in the other thread. Masterful work as usual. Birch...oh the lovely birch.
