Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Gevonovich Sir, I think you have become quite the photographer! the above is a good shot, for some reason those Buthcer knives sharpened up REAL good, I guess the combination of the thin blades and good carbon steel = wicked edge, what is the brand name stamped on the handle kind Sir?
Can you show me a shot of the Ames, I apologise in advance if you have posted this before and I have missed it - it looks a great knife with a lovely long pull, neat swedge, is the wood more of a Rosewood rather than Ebony?

Duncan, my friend, anything for you. I will go out and take a pictures of the Ames right now. The butcher knife is a Chicago Cultery Co.. Your right, these things sharpen up like razors for some reason. Be right back...

Here is a close-up of the Ames, Duncan. You can still see some of the "Easy Opener" etch on the blade. Enjoy and get strong, Sir.

Wow, thank you Gevonovich!! Just look at the work that knife has done, and still it commands great respect, a true testimony of the skill and craftsmanship of these fantastic Cutlers of yesteryear, and what a true privilege it is to be able to testify that for yourself!
Thank you my friend for all that you do.
Duncan.

Thank You, Duncan. You don't see a lot of Ames pocket knives and i wonder why? I understand they made a lot of the civil war swords and cutlery.

Outstanding stag on the first knife! Fine size too, that licks everything.....

From the pictures, I'd say that Cleo is the one who licks everything. :)

Beautiful dog.

Great photographs of fine knives once again, Kris. As much as I appreciate your artistry in composition in some of the more elaborate settings, sometimes a straightforward picture like this one helps me understand the knives more clearly in proportion to one another:

Here is a quick pic I just took for a contest. I don't do much outside around this place, but I'll go for a hiking trip soon. Then I can get a lot better pics.

Nice looking dog Kris. I departed with my last one about 5 yrs. ago, where I left him with the exgirlfirend's kids. He is/was a Greater Swiss Mountain dog.

Another example of Beautiful bone, my good friend Paul believed this was a Schrade - because of the Heritage Stamping, and I agree, because of the make-up of the knife as well - no one else could have made this knife....Schrade...
