Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Lots of nice variety in the pictures in this thread. Here are a few of my traditional military knives, I carried these at different times in my 32 year ARNG career.

US M-4 Imperial that was my Dad's (retired 1SG), he handed this one off to me in 1990.

Randall Combat Knife, this one was presented to me in 2003, near the end of my career - it has never been carried.

Kabar 1081 Stockman (you can barely see it in my left hand (cooking an MRE for lunch - at my boot, heating up). I carried this one from 1998 until 2005; it was with me for the V Corps Winter Exercise in Graf Germany, to a July/August rotation at the NTC at Fort Irwin CA, to OIF in 2003 -that little knife got around!

Kabar 1081 - just a little worse for the wear.

Old Hunter--superb--thank you!

John Primble my friend, so is this one.....

and another Primble, some of the best jigged delrin Ive seen....

Meet "Pardner"; I wasn't sure exactly what he'd be holding when I carved him, but he's become quite busy holdin' grandad's old Western States folding hunter, dad's Buck 303 and balancing my razor on his hat! Oh, and my mini-easy open collection too!

He's awesome. Your carvings are great pal, I'm so impressed. Everything I carve just ends up looking like a shrivelled, gone-off aubergine. What kind of wood do you use?
