Just For Fun! - If you could have 5 New DFK designs what would they be?

1. monster Poon cleaver with screw on handle attachment turning it into a hawk
2. Dog tag knife of some sorts
3. Ti backer flipper folder
4. 13" chopper between 1/4 and 1/2" thick
5. Anything wit knuckles

I agree with Sloth, a tritium makes everything better. Or, at least some glow. And with Meluck on the dog tag. Not a necker, a dog tag.

Hmmm interesting.

1. Kirambit, double edged, for thrust and reverse cuts. D2 tumbled finish. Carbon fiber thin inlays.
2. Battle Cleaver.
3. Short bush sword
4. Tomahawk
5. Sick grind flipper/folder

DFK Fricky.
DFK Lycosa mini Tanto. :D
DFK Shobu
DFK Danielsong.
DFK Ti Tanto Backpacker.

Too many great ideas to comment on them all! I'll be going over this thread a ton...

Lycosa - I'm making your Tanto design soon, my 1/16" A2 and Coyote Brown G10 are both in. :D Five will be made this round.

We need trituim, frickies and massive cleavers! Dog tag knives too!

Last night I designed a Boot Knife/Dive Knife/Concealed Carry/EDC that you guys will like...

Daniel- Cool!
A Ti shank is seconded.
I can't wait to see your boot-knife thang!

That will work!^
Daniel- you must design a double edge chisel grind boot knife. This is up your tree.

1)S7 swords and wakizashi's
2)3V swords and wakizashi's
3)3V fighter
4) flipper
5) kitchen knives

A carbon steel version (1/8" D2) of the Titanium Backpacker. Got mine yesterday it's sweet! Perfect size and blade shape for EDC.

1. DFK classic rendition, I have a couple ideas but no loveless. I'm thinkin Scottish Dirk, or Puñale Criollo. You know, ethnic classics. Maybe a Daga style Criollo.

2. Distally tapered strong machete or short cutlass, double-single guard in the Wild Bill style.

3. DFK radical kamisori (I can help you with the geometry)

4. Push dagger, asymmetric grip, one finger over and two under.

5. Office friendly TI box knife. Fixed blade with a pocket clip.

Seriously! You guys have some great ideas.

I'm working on a Battle Cleaver design now based on input from this thread.

Five different takes on keychain/pocket tools.

-Original DFK pocket tool in titanium
-A swiss army knife-style blade + tools
-A spork + knife
-A larger tool (approximately the size of an atwood ghost/keyton/wrunt) with bottle opener, pry bar, etc
-A really creative, unique, or novel tool where Daniel goes wild with the design

1. Tin knife
2. 8 - 10" kitchen knife
3. paring knife (much like the backpacker but thinner/shorter)
4. pocket folder
5. light tomahawk with a spike

Thanks again guys!

Here's what I plan on making this year... and more too! I'll play it by ear but here are a few goals.

New Designs
Chopper - 14" total length, .315" thick, DFK handle with choppy blade. double saber/flat grind
Tomahawk - still undecided on final design... we may need another thread!
Friction Folders - how about a big one?
Kitchen Knives - look out for a few here and there
Altoids Tin Knife - yes and it will have at least one tool, Titanium of course!
Massive Cleaver - ? maybe!
Ti Dive/Concealed Carry Knife - I might make these soon, need input
Dogtag something... good idea guys! no plan yet but I'm going to work on it

I'll be keeping these designs or doing runs for certain!
Framelock!!!!
Ti Backpacker
Keychain Tool
Kiridashi
Legal EDC - it will be back with improvements all around! This one will be 50 State legal.

I'm forgetting some and I'm sure not all will be made... on deck are A2 and Coyote Brown G10 Tantos, Ti Keychain Tools, Ti Backpackers and 5160 Kiridashis.
