Ken Erickson Knives: A Retrospective

Ken,

That is a truly outstanding piece.

I know the new owner is going to be very happy.

Happy I could help out with the piece of steel.

Take care

Charles

I am truly impressed with the craftsmanship, determination and drive that Ken had to see this thru.

The idea was one that required many conversations. Ken has always been there to listen, offer advice and extend a laugh when I got a little too wrapped up in the idea.

Thank you Ken for the opportunity to carry and use a vision that became a fact.

Thanks to all who supported Ken in his quest to build this knife.

Oh you can bet I’m smiling.

Thanks for the comments on this knife guys! It is very much appreciated.

What strikes me when making these lockback whittlers is not only the fitting of the parts, but that every single darn part has to be finished outside and INSIDE:eek: Seems every surface shows, either outside or inside.

"(That must have been an interesting challenge to say the least!) "
I did enjoy the unique challenges this knife presented.

Seen a picture of the knife in progress, but wow. Lots of hours involved but is an amazing accomplishment.

That knife is killer,Congat's Ken & James

Ken
That is a beauty and the neat thing is that i know the owner is going to put that to some immediate use rather than treat it like a museum piece.
Congrats to both you and James on this one - very very nice.

That is a beauty, for sure! Great blade selection, awesome work. Congratulations to you both! Outstanding piece.

I like how the wharncliffe main blade flows so well with the handle and the ivory is creeaammy.

I am grinnin' and it is not even mine. Joe nailed it. Outstanding!

Never thought a wharncliffe master would work on this style knife.

That's sexy has hell! Well done, Ken!

Jeff,

I was on the fence also but a huge thanks to James for having the vision to know it would work. I personally favor this blade arraignment.

Whew,

I thought someone was going to post another one of Ken's knives.

(and I still have not fully recovered from that whittler yet :D).

I got the whittler today and I am speechless.

For those of you that know me this never happens.

Thank you Ken, update in 6 months after bush tail season begins.

I know you're thrilled with it and I can see why. Thanks for the review earlier today. Congrats again to you and Ken.
