You are a brave man, laying that open knife on your cat's tail.I have pictures in my mind of him flipping that knife clear across the room and sticking it in the bullseye.
Finn not happy to learn that I now have a retractable claw. A large one.
Makes me recall a Red Dwarf episodeTime for a funny for all us cat lovers.

Cat's can grow big and I mean very big. My mother in law had a cat named Harley. He was a solid black cat like my Jag that went over 35 pounds. The vets around here said they have never in their entire careers have see a domestic cat that huge.I wish he was still around but that was about 15 years ago and he is long gone to Cat heaven. It was only on his tail for maybe 30 seconds. He's a big stuffed animal. And I mean big. At 21lbs, the vet says he should be about 18, so he is a massive cat, but very docile and loving. He's never scratched me on purpose. Sleeps next to me, is loyal like a dog and follows me everywhere. I can call his name and he comes running. Great cat, though loud.
Love it. That's a nice photo of your pal.
I'm not fat I'm fluffy!

That's great. Cats can be so loyal. I was confined to a hospital bed for about 6 months because of my back and surgery so I had a hospital bed in the living room where the television is and my one red cat would be with me all day and sleep with his head on my arm for a pillow all night, every night. His name was Kelsie but he passed away last year and so did our Blue Heeler dog of 14 years, all in the same week. That was a tough one.

So sorry to hear of your misfortunes. As pet lovers, we get dealt some pretty bad hands at times, it seems.Losing pets is tough. I lost my Bengal in 2014 to cardiomyopathy. She was only 7.
I'm allergic to dogs, but still love them. Grew up with a border collie/Australian Shepherd mix and a Tibetan terrier.
I spent most of 2018 in the hospital, and Finn was really freaked out. My dad would set up video chat so we could "visit" as I was 40 miles away.

Beautiful gray cats. I need to show my Gray Spike again.I just love him.Sounds very similar to our Beast. Little did we know when our son named him as a kitten how true it would be. Big laid back lovable dope, with a very loud meow that he's not shy about using. His sister Porsha is opposite in every way...much smaller and barely makes a sound.
