"Leading Edge" 3D printed knife guided sharpening system. Assembly/Build/Use

I can't handle that degree of sharpness. One moment all is good, the apple is nearly quartered and the next moment you are staring at an apple red to the core. I back it off a few degrees below 4,000 grit and my blades cut to every need. ;)

Happy slicing friends, all through the New Year! Cheers

As far as possible, install the inserts on the opposite side of the screw. It's not possible for all parts but works for most.

Also make sure to experiment with temperature, sometimes the inserts come loose easily if the insert temperature was too cold or way too hot.

I push the inserts just a hair below the surface of the plastic.
This seems to create a little rim or lip of plastic that folds inwards helping prevent the insert from coming out.

I have had two or three inserts come out that I had not pushed far enough.
I reheated and reinserted them.
On one that was starting to get loose I did used a tiny bit of crazy glue letting it seep around it by capillary action and it stabilized it.
