Lets see your CPK in Leather!

I think a few of those might be destined to come to me 😉

They’re looking awesome! I can’t wait!
thanks bro! You won't have to wait much longer I'm happy to say
for which knife Lorien
the two up top are for HDFK and the four below are Basic5/FK3, although I've been doing some testing and may be able to soon say that they can be made to be compatible with UF2...

Tuesday night a package arrived that I've been eagerly anticipating for months!

Way back in December, EMCEE EMCEE (aka Santa Daddy) reached out to let me know that he had drawn me for secret Santa and that he wanted to work some Christmas magic to produce a fitting sheath for my Osage Skinner. I asked him at the time if he'd consider making a matching set of sheaths for the Skinner and my FK2, my primary hunting knives. He graciously agreed, while letting me know that sheathmaking is an enjoyable pursuit for him while he also works the poles, so that it might take a couple months for him to complete the project. I was happy to wait and excited to see what he would come up with.

This is what he came up with 😍:

I was so impressed by the construction and attention to detail of Michael's work, first impressions are that this sheath is as beautiful as it is durable and I can't wait to get out in the woods with it on my hip.

The FK2 is such a standout knife for me, it's my favorite CPK and I love these FK3 ironwood scales to go along with it... #chatoyance

I also have a pair of Osage scales that I'm working on an oil finish for, and I plan to install those to match the Skinner once it's "MC" sheath arrives.

Michael, thanks again for all your diligence and hard work on this project. I was impressed and amazed by how closely you attended to every detail, and how you incorporated every piece of design input I had and still came up with something that really feels like it exhibits your personal style. I was also floored when you not only made several drafts of the inlay work, but proceeded to make a second, entirely new sheath when you decided that the initial one you produced wasn't up to your (most excellent) standards. I love this sheath so much, I look forward to using it and showing it off for years, and I'm happy to call you a friend!

Sir, you honor me.

The fact that you challenged me to work beyond my skill and comfort level is greatly appreciated. Your friendship, even more. Now let’s see if you can beat the pretty off that sucker, Steve !?! 😜

Honestly man that one's borderline art. The amount of detail and margin for error is insane, and more than that it's all super clean.

The colors, the contrast, the hardware, the inlay... just wow.
