Let's see your GEC #23's, 73's, 83's and 72's

Great looking stag on that 73 Paul:)

I've been carrying my 23 in bubinga almost everyday for two weeks. After a while, it doesn't seem too big at all. I really hope to find a single blade in bareheaded stag or primitive/pioneer bone!:D I can't wait to find one someday:)

Did I mention I love how the 23's have such hard strong springs? The harder the spring/snap, the better I say :D:D

Harry inspired my carry today and for the next few days as well. This is such a fantastic knife, how it fell out of rotation is a mystery:o

Sportin a new edge it's back in my front pocket, love this knife:thumbup:

Thanks Harry, you have stayed the course my friend. I have been wooed by others but my allegiance is strengthened once again:D

This is by far my favorite thread. I love the #73 and call it my favorite and yet the only competition is the #72, both patterns have a good showing here.

A few more to add to this awesome thread!

#72.

#73. My girlfriend gifted me this one after already gifting me a beautiful #23 in Frontier bone. She didn't realize how big the #23 was and decided to get me a #73 to pocket carry. The #23 resides on my hip.

And the #23 she got me!

It's rocking an awesome patina now. I'll get some pics this weekend.

Awesome new sheeth by GEC!!! I've been carrying it since the Rendezvous and I don't have a single complaint.

My most tried and true #73. We've hunted together quite a bit and even though it isn't my main carry come hunting season I still use it at least once afield.

The #73 that replaced it. A birthday gift from my family a year ago. This knife takes and hold an edge perfectly. Such a joy to have with me in the woods.

Gone, but not forgotten.

#73 with some snake wood goodness.

#23 in primitive bone.this knife was an excellent companion on the trout streams this April. It accompanied my girlfriend and I the following week and served as a branch removing force. Sadly, moved down the stream. Not so sadly, it's departure moved my girlfriend to gift me that beautiful Frontier bone!

My brother's opening day fire.

Picked this one up while at the Rendezvous earlier this year.

Hot out of inspection!

I might have a stag #72 on the way to my house... I might not... who knows. :D

My Stag 72 #135

Will post one of my 72's , 73's , 74 , and 83's after I get my Purple 72 .
Let's hope more people post pictures of their new 72's .

Harry

I like your lanyard a lot and the 72 looks very nice CBR !!!

Thanks Harry, I've been eyeing your new 72 in a couple threads - I really like the character of yours. I carried it for the first time today... it's my first 72 and I'm very happy with it. No blade play and it's finished well - no complaints. I really want a second one for back-up but my wallet says no.

Sorry for the dumb question guys but I'm trying to figure out the differences between these patterns. I can see the 72 is a lock back while the 73 is not. Now how bout the 23 and 83?

The #83 is a mini version of the #72 Cody scout lockback and the #42 Trader lockback.

The number #23 is a 4 1/4" version of the #73. Same frame ergonomically, but sized up!

What type of traditional pattern would you all consider these? Trappers?
