A Western W49 with a "D" date code which I believe puts it at 1980. The handle needs to be stripped of whatever it was covered in. The blade is in good shape except for some scratches and bruises. There wasn't a sheath but at the price I couldn't resist.IMG_7020-1024x621.JPG
 
Picked up this old Western Field today. The sheath is intact and decent but it’s pretty dried out.

Oh, wow!

That very knife hung on the wall in the spare room in my grandparents house where I slept when I stayed with them.

It had been my grandpa's.

My uncle finally asked Granny for it and took it home.

I have been watching for one just like that forever.

I always loved it,and have watched for one but never found one in that handle and blade configuration.

That is the exact knife.
