LETS SEE YOUR NON-USERS

Admittedly, the majority of my collection are technically non-users, as I sit a desk all day. I sometimes envy folks who have jobs or tasks where they use their knives every day, especially since some weeks, I'll go a few to several days without needing any knives at all outside of my kitchen. That said, despite most of my knives being non-users, I've pocketed most of them at one time or another, but many of them sparingly. On the user-side, I have a select few knives which serve almost any cutting chore I have, and have a few others which are dedicated camping/work/outdoors knives.

I'll have to get some pictures up in this thread at some point.

This picture was taken when it was still safe in its Chris Reeve burrito. However, I've recently decided that that's not how I want it to live its life, and have started carrying it on light use days...

Other than that, no non-users from me. But I'm also the kind of person that has a silly name for each of my knives, so, I may just be weird.

I’ve been trying to re-home it because of that reason. Bought it last year sometime with every intention of pocketing and using it. Just never happened. I prefer the DT ladder, which CRK doesn’t use anymore, so I’m leaning more towards keeping it and making it a light user. I have another wood/Damascus 21 that is only used for light duty things. That’s as close as I got to fit the thread.

That’s really the whole point behind this tongue in cheek (well, mostly...:D) thread. Whether it be in the safe or in your pocket - as long as it brings you joy then that’s all that matters. There’s no “wrong“ way to enjoy this hobby.

Just me...i appreciate others have a different view.

Yeah, but think of all the wonderful non-users you guys would have if you switched it up!:p:D
Haha. I already have way too many users as is. I really don’t need to go down the road of non users that don’t serve me any purpose  I do love seeing some of the safe queens around here tho. I have respect for those people because I don’t have the self control to keep them pristine. A lunar landing 21 is something no one should ever let me own :D

136 Barry Wood folders, of which 135 are non-users
22 Herucus Blomerus flippers, all are non-users
25 Tobin Smith folders, 21 non-users
6 Scott Sawby, all non-users
Another 20 by various makers, all but 2 are non-users

Too many to post pictures

Just got my brand new shirogorov quantum in yesterday, and its definitely a non-user for me

It's just too damn nice....scratching it up would kill me, and I'd be too nervous to sharpen and disassemble/clean. Plus there's the small risk of getting caught by the police, and having it looted

If I had money to burn and owned 4 or 5 shiros, I could see using it, but this is it for a long time. I really didn't have much business buying just the one lol...

This will just be a knife to admire in my home. Sticking with the crks/hinderer for EDC
